Our no obligation initial assessment allows
you to try out the training vehicle & meet your
instructor. You will need a category C provisional licence
before your assessment. A small fee is charged for the
assessment which is to cover costs. This would be deducted
from the course fees should you decide to go ahead (currently
£20.00)
Whilst in many cases this will be your first experience
of a larger vehicle this is not a test, only an assessment,
during which your instructor will give you an honest

time required to reach a pass standard.
For the nervous, you may bring a friend to help you
relax, but please advise us prior to arriving at the
lorry.
MacLeod training uses draw- bar combinations, which
gives you the advantage of driving the same vehicle
for your cat.C and C+E. This reduces the stress of learning
a new vehicle for your artic training. However the licence
is the same. The advantages of draw-bar combos have
long been recognized

It is advisable, prior to starting your course to read
up on the current highway code. This is updated fairly
regularly and you may want to refresh your knowledge.

will give you all the benefits of his experience.
